Background

Mr. Abadi is an associate lawyer at Fernandes Hearn. He was called to the Ontario Bar after completing articling placements in Toronto and Montreal.

Mr. Abadi articled at a Montreal admiralty law firm, where he acquired experience in maritime law, civil litigation, and insurance law. Prior to this, his legal training included work in constitutional law, immigration, and business law.

Mr. Abadi holds advanced degrees in Economics and Business Administration and worked in corporate finance and in academia, as a teaching assistant, before attending law school. He has been the recipient of several academic awards, including a U.S. Fulbright Scholarship and the Campney and Murphy Prize for Securities Regulation at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law. Mr. Abadi benefited from an international upbringing and speaks several foreign languages including Spanish, German, and French.
